BODY PLY SYSTEM
The Steelastic® Steel Body Ply System is designed to produce the world's strongest, most consistent steel cord body ply for radial truck tires with precision achieved through its patented "E" Die Head extrusion. The individual steel cords are rubber-coated in a unique, high-pressure extrusion process through a cross-head die, then automatically cut at a 90-degree angle and butt-spliced together with a converging wheel stitcher. The system's innovative, automated coating process assures the most exact spacing between steel cords available.
